AUDITIONS FOR MOSAIC MUSICAL

Do you want to perform on a large stage with live music?
Join the cast members who have already been chosen to be in MOSAIC MUSICAL 2020!
Private Auditions will be held from now until February 24th. (Two or three friends may audition together.) You can schedule an audition time by contacting Sadia on FB Messenger or by email dancingphoenix.net@gmail.com
What is the Audition process?
Auditions are about 90 minutes long. The audition fee is 5,000 yen. First you will complete an Audition Application and a Schedule of Availability (in Japanese or English). Next, you will perform a dance (3 - 6 minutes long) in costume and with performance make-up. The dance can be any style of dance. After that, Sadia will teach you a short piece of choreography (1:40 minutes). After learning and practicing the choregraphy, you will dance the choreography as the final part of the audition.
If you pass the Audition, you will be given a part in MOSAIC.
TIPS FOR PASSING THE AUDITION:
1. Prepare your dance well
2. Bring your costume and wear attractive make-up
3. Be enthusiastic and on time
4. Show that you are dependable and a team player who can work well with others
5. Be available for lessons and rehearsals (time commitment is between 8 hours and 16 hours a month)
MASTERING FINGER CYMBALS

Place: Dancing Phoenix Studio in Nakano
Fee: 8,000 yen on the day / 7,000 yen adavanced registration
Details: Open to students and teachers of all schools. This workshop is for dancers who can play finger cymbals. Workshop participants will learn to develop skill in producing tonal variety while dancing, change patterns effortlessly, and use cymbals more effectively. Sadia will teach a choreography which uses cymbals to create dynamic and interesting effects.
MASTERING FINGER CYMBALS

Fee: 7,000 yen on the day / 6,000 yen with advanced registration
Details: Open to students from all schools. This workshop is for dancers who can play a little, but need more practice. The first hour students learn to play cymbals while doing short combinations. These combinations will be used later in the choregraphy. In the second hour, Sadia will teach the choreography without cymbals. The final 30 minutes is for practicing playing cymbals while dancing the choreography.

Fee: 6,000 yen on the day / 5,000 yen with advanced registration
Details: Open to students from all schools.
Sadia will teach basic techniques and rhythm patterns. You will learn how to dance and play cymbals at the same time. This workshop does not have choregraphy. Fun and Easy Combinations will help you to practice at home and prepare you for learning cymbal choreography.
SADIA SHOW AT SHAMAIM
2020-01-31 by SADIAIt's the first show of 2020! January 31!! Come and enjoy delicious food and watch an exciting and fun performance by Sadia. You can even join in the fun by dancing yourself!! See you at Shamaim!! Sadia's show is the last Friday of each month.
